I photographed every recipe in The Tables That Built Us, Chuckie Hessong's heritage cookbook from Laughing Rooster Eats. It celebrates the dishes and stories of a Southeast Kansas town where 53 languages were spoken, and the photography needed to honor that history while making every recipe look irresistible today.
